Introduction
The tenth World Congress of the Theosophical Society will take place in Rome, Italy, from 10th to 15th July 2010, focusing on the following subject: “Universal Brotherhood without any distinctions: a path towards awareness”.
The subject is closely related to the history and activity of the Theosophical Society and to its previous nine World Congresses which have always offered great opportunities to scholars from all over the world to meet, to study, to share ideas and points of view.
Dear Theosophists in the Indo Pacific Region,
The Sunshine Coast Lodge in Queensland, Australia has organised an optional sightseeing tour commencing after the completion of The World Congress in Rome in 2010. The tour includes the major tourist regions of Italy. We are sending these attachments as an invitation to your members and friends whom may be interested in joining us after the Congress finishes.
The Purpose of the School of the Wisdom
The aim of the School of the Wisdom is to enable the individual to cease from being one who gives intellectual adherence to a particular school of philosophy, and become one who learns to survey the problem of life directly by himself or herself. The essential search is to discover life as it is, life being inseparable from consciousness.
The School of the Wisdom aims at bringing each student to survey things “from the centre” which is intuitive awareness. An intense sense of Life must always accompany every true student. There can be no Wisdom without an ever-increasing sense of Wonder.
Visit to South-East Asia
During July I took a 9-day journey to South-East Asia, with fellow TS member, Gerard Brennan from Sydney. The main object of the journey was to visit Angkor Wat in Cambodia, but we were able to include in our itinerary a visit to TS Lodges in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and in Singapore.
Here is the July 2009 Newsletter. Catch up to what has been happening throughout the region.
Dear all,
I received some information on the coming TS Congress in Italy from Antonio Girardi. Here it is for your reference
